Sustainable Aviation

Every year, humans spew tens of billions of metric tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere through industry and by burning fossil fuels. Gas emissions in the air can trap heat from the sun, potentially contributing to destructive global warming.

The environmental effects of aviation are complex and impacting at regional and global level by gaseous emissions and noise.  Unfortunately there is no single definition of Sustainable Aviation, but may be defined as long term strategy tackling the challenge of ensuring a cleaner, quieter, smarter future for the aviation industry.

What can we do today? Operational measures, on the ground and in the air can have an impact in the short and medium term. With the right approach with stakeholders it is possible to work together to develop concrete goals and measures to reduce CO2-emissions today. It aims to bring together the active stakeholders of the aviation industry operation, to work together, to share knowledge and to cooperate for a more sustainable operation.
